About Sarah - cornwall curl specialist
Holistic curl care for real women with real curls
My Mission: To Help Women Fall Back In Love With Their Natural Hair
Most of my clients first arrive feeling frustrated, confused, or let down by years of bad haircuts, unsuitable products, or advice that simply wasn't designed for curls. Some are navigating their transition to natural grey. Others are dealing with the changes from postpartum, menopause, illness or treatment. Many feel overwhelmed and unsure where to begin.
Having worked with natural curls since 2015 I created BlewBelle Curl Studio in 2018 to focus solely on curls.
My mission is simple. To help you understand your curls and to give you the confidence to wear them naturally, easily and joyfully.
Why I specialised 10 years ago in 2015.
Working with curls not something you tack on to a traditional hairdressing menu. It requires patience, science, compassion and precision, and thats exactly what I offer.
Over the years I saw the same patterns
- Curly haired women being misunderstood or dismissed
- Grey haired clients being pushed into colour they didn't really want
- New mums struggling with postpartum shedding and nobody explaining why
- Women in menopause feeling alone with their hair thinning or loss
- People dealing with hair changes due to illness or treatment feeling unsupported
- Women spending a fortune on products that simply didn't work for their hair
I knew I wanted to do things differently. So I created a specialist, safe, calm space where women feel seen, understood and genuinely supported.
My work with the Cancer Hair Care Charity
I am proud to be a volunteer with the Cancer Hair Care Charity, offering support via their helpline to anyone navigating hair loss before, during or after treatment. Through this I have gained a deep understanding of chemo related ,hair changes, regrowth patterns and chemo curls, scalp sensitivity and tenderness and, how to support confidence during and after treatment.
I also offer free 'Chemo Curls' appointments in the studio. Gentle, supportive sessions designed for people at any stage of their chemotherapy.
This work is incredibly close to my heart.
Support for hair loss, postpartum and menopausal changes
With my trichology and science informed knowledge I support clients experiencing postpartum shedding, menopausal thinning, stress related hair loss, hormonal shifts that change curl patterns, early regrowth after illness or treatment.
Together we look at the scalp, follicles, hydration, lifestyle, routine and expectations. Always with empathy and honesty.
How I work
Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp so my approach is always holistic. Curl specific techniques, scalp first analysis, realistic routines, gentle and minimal product use with ongoing support and education.
Cutting - I am extensively qualified with over 10 specific curl cutting courses from both UK and international providers. This means that I can tailor a bespoke dry curl cut for your curls, shaping them individually for balance, movement and natural definition.
Simple, honest product guidance - no upselling, no overwhelm. Just straightforward recommendations that suit your hair.
Sustainable, eco conscious philosophy - I use high quality sulphate and silicone free products and maintain eco friendly salon practices. Did you know that none of the curls left behind at my studio go to land fill? They are all recycled. I've proudly been a member of the Green Salon Collective since 2020 and have offered product refills alongside.
Personalised aftercare - New clients receive a bespoke routine and written guidance after their appointment.

Why clients choose me.
Women come to me because they want
Beyond the salon
When I'm not with a client you'll find me supporting callers on the Cancer Hair Care helpline, creating educational content for my instagram @cornwallcurlspecialist, researching products, ingredients, techniques, scalp health, curl science and hair growth.
This work extends far beyond the hair cut, it's about empowering women with clarity and confidence.
I'd love to support you when space allows. I offer limited appointments to ensure every client receives the time and calm, gentle care they deserve.
If you're new, the best first step is joining the waitlist.
