A Curl by Curl cut, a devacurl cut, a Rezo cut, or one of the other methods. Maybe a combination of all. For this reason please arrive at your appointment with clean, dry hair having removed any tangles. If you’d like to leave in some conditioner that is fine but no other products. Please also don’t arrive with your hair having been in a bun or ponytail as it stretches and distorts the natural pattern.

~ Reminder emails are sent automatically 48hrs prior to your appointment. This contains full postal address in Truro, Cornwall.
Is my appointment with you?
~ Yes. I work alone, I have no links to other salons/stylists in Cornwall.
How should I have my hair?
- Clean, Down, Detangled and Dry please. I prefer no product in your hair at all but if you need to use something some light leave in conditioner is OK (Such as the Hydrate Spray Leave in) If you are coming for a dry cut only (no wash) please wash your hair on the morning of your appointment.
Is there parking?
~ Yes. Please be aware that it is a permit parking area so please park on the driveway.
Do you accept cash? Can I pay by card?
~ Yes. I can take either card payments or cash. I will accept bank transfers but this must be done before you leave the salon.
Can I purchase the products you use?
- Yes. Either in the studio on the day or via my online shop. Collection or postage is available.
Can you add me to a cancellation list?
~ You can add yourself to my automated waitlist. Although this will not guarantee you an appointment it will automatically alert you by email should there be a cancellation. Any very short notice cancellations will be posted on @cornwallcurlspecialist instagram (link on home page)
Can I call you to ask about my appointment first?
~ I don’t currently take phone calls when I am with a client or outside salon hours. All of my information can be found on the website or booking link. When can I book?
- The automated online booking system enables you to choose the most convenient appointment for you, book anytime of the day or night and move it to another time or date if you need to. Appointments are released a month in advance. Returning clients have priority booking from the 15th of each month at 8.30pm until the 20th. At 8.30pm on the 20th should there be any spaces remaining booking will open for new clients.
I’d like to become a New Client, how can I do this and what do I book?
- At 8.30pm on the 20th of each mont should there be any spaces remaining for the following month booking will open for new clients. New Clients MUST book a New Client appointment. If a New Client does not book a New Client appointment the booked appointment will be cancelled and booking fee refunded.
Do you only cut women’s hair?
- Yes, currently only women.
Do you cut childrens hair?
- Children over 11 years of age only. Often children younger only need the very ends trimmed which can be easily done by parents/carers. I run online curl coaching sessions for parents/carers. Dates are announced on my Instagram and WhatsApp channel. My hourly rate applies to all appointments irrespective of age.
Do you perm hair?
- No. If you have had a perm elsewhere you are able to have a curl cut.
Can I just pop in?
- Visiting is by appointment/arrangement only.
Do I have to pay a booking fee?
~ Yes. Everyone pays a 50% booking fee to secure their appointment which is deducted from the cost of your appointment.
What’s your cancellation policy?
~ If you need to cancel of change your appointment I require at least 72 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your booking fee. No shows and cancellations less than 24hrs will forfeit their booking fee and will be required to pay the remainder of that appointment before another appointment can be booked. I do understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do my best to work with you in a case of a genuine emergency. If I need to cancel your appointment you will be informed with as much notice as is possible and your appointment will be rescheduled. Should a reschedule not suit you will have your booking fee refunded.
What time should I arrive for my appointment?
~ 5 minutes before is perfect.
What if I’m late?
~ Please let me know if you are running late. I try not to over run with appointment times so if you are 15mins late your appointment may need to be rescheduled or cancelled. You may be charged part, or all, of the service to cover my costs. Please use WhatsApp 01872399049 to let me know.
Do I have to have a skin test for a colour?
~ Yes. I carry out these tests for your safety. I am also required to carry this out to comply with my insurance. Please ensure you book a colour consultation 15 minute appointment at least 48hrs before your colour appointment.
