I am always on the search for kit that makes drying curls faster but keeps the definition. For transparency the dyson and the shark I have bought myself, the Bellissima was gifted to me. Im not getting anything for reviewing.
@bellissima.uk make a dryer that is just a diffuser, it doesn’t come apart. It’s £39.90. I used this in the salon for a day. It’s small, lightweight and really easy to use. I found it got a little too hot as the drying time went on and it did move the curls around a little more than I am used to. I’d say that if you have really thick or really long hair then this probably isn’t the dryer for you. But, shorter or finer hair, for holidays, for a quick diffuse before air drying then it would be great. It’s a great price too.
@dysonhair Is a dryer with a magnetic diffuser attachment and other attachments for straight hair. I’m not sure what the current rrp is but it’s around £300 The dyson is lightweight, quiet and powerful. It dries curls quickly and keeps them still (less frizz) It has a very shallow diffuser which I personally like for going in close to the roots for lift. I think it’s a great bit of kit, I’ve used it for years (and I use it A LOT) so they definitely last. But, it’s not in everyone’s budget.
@sharkhomeuk is a dryer with a diffuser and a straight hair attachment. I paid £179 for it and I think that’s the Black Friday price. The diffuser has prongs you can adjust the length of. I’ve used it all this week in the studio and I’ve found it to be really good. I like the way you can pop the prongs in and out. It’s great for getting into really thick hair especially at the root. It keeps the curls still and it’s slightly cooler than the Dyson. The diffuser bowl does not get hot. It’s heavier and noisier than the dyson but not excessively. Also the cable is shorter than the professional dyson, same length as the retail dyson. I think this is going to be a firm favourite in my studio. It’s still not cheap but is more affordable.
