What is your ocean blueprint?
If footprints are what we leave behind, traces of our previous actions, our ocean blueprint is how we plan to utilise what we already have, using the prints we have already made.
bluejuice.studio is actively engaged in finding circular solutions to end-of-use and lost/abandoned fishing net. Our ethos is “Cuntelleugh an brewyon ues gesys na vo kellys travyth”, the ancient Cornish proverb that translates as “Gather ye the fragments that are left, that nothing be lost".
In the UK, only 10% of plastic is actually recycled. The other 90% is either sent to landfill, stockpiled/incinerated in developing countries or dumped on land or in the ocean. All of this is not due to the lack of recyclability but a lack of recycling infrastructure, research/development and disregard for a more ethical choice for consumers.
By increasing our ocean blueprint, we’re reducing our carbon footprint. Our ocean blueprint is not about how much we use, but how much we reclaim, recycle and repurpose. It’s less about about the mark we leave behind, and more about leaving less behind.
What will your ocean blueprint be?
Blue Mordros Bracelet.
Made from 100% reclaimed gill fishing net. The magnetic clasp and beads are stainless steel, and therefore won’t tarnish with wear.

Blueprint Ring.
The blueprint ring is made using 100% reclaimed gill fishing net and hand finished with a sterling silver hammered bead. These rings are really comfortable to wear, and they won’t tarnish (suitable for swimming, surfing and endless sea adventures).
